I have always been obsessed with to-do lists. Btw, the first thing I do when picking up a new programming language is build a to-do app : )
Recently, I was feeling overwhelmed with the number of mundane errands on my plate. I am usually busy with work during weekdays, and this meant I spent a lot of time on petty tasks such as researching shoes I want to buy, looking into credit cards, and paying bills on the weekends.
I came up with a framework to fix this, and I call it To Do Driven Life. There are three rules to this framework.
Write it down: Note down anything and everything in a to-do app when it crosses your mind. You don’t have to act on it now.
Revisit the list often: The most important and difficult step. Anytime you pick up your phone to doomscroll, just have a look at the to-do list. More often than not, you will find a task that you can knock off the list.
Cross it off: Get done with the item. Give yourself a pat on the back, while you are at it.
This habit has changed my life for the better. Try this once, and thank me later. I recommend the To Do app by Microsoft.
